when clicking load on a save, it does not take me back to the exact savepoint, like other itch games do. is this on purpose? i tend to save before making decisions, so i can try out different paths, but it looks like i can't really do that here. example: if i save at the choice where i can say "i won't harm you" to attic girl, it takes me not to the save where the choices were, but to the start where you enter the attic. i can understand why this might be on purpose, as some might see it as kinda cheaty to be able to try several paths, but i'm just wonderin if it's on purpose as it's my first time experiencing this. thanks, that's all^^ (on linux, btw incase that'd be why)

This might be something on the backend that can't exactly pinpoint where you saved it, so it saves/loads the nearest area. This might happen on some occasions, but shouldn't do it all the time!

We have no plans on changing the MC or adding a Futa option.
I get the limited release of certain things and exclusivity for paid portions however why not compile it and when the game ends it finally releases for free players or include it when you purchase it in general I'm not sure how downloads work etc however that would be a neat way of preserving content without it just being lost per say just a thought

AHITR is, and always be, free. There are a few dreams that are Patreon exclusive, but everything else is available in the free version of the game.
The Alpha build of a new version is released at the start of each month. About a week later the Beta build is released. Then after another week the Early Access version is released. Then about a month later this version goes free and public.
This is the Patreon schedule, it drops everywhere else a bit later, and with changes here on Itch on how adult content is handled, we've had to approach things differently for Itch (We're still figuring things out for those who had previously purchased the game here).

This might be an issue with the Itch servers, causing the downloads to corrupt your game files.

On PC, I'd make sure you have no anti-virus software blocking the download, and try again.
On Android, make sure there's enough space for the download and unpacking process and for the launcher to have all necessary permissions.

я попробовал всё из этого списка, но игра всё так же не открывается. Думаю придётся забить на неё, по крайней мере на время, может дальнейшие обновления решат какой-то баг который не позволяет мне открыть игру

Which version of the game are you playing? If you're playing a streamed version of the game via a web browser, that's an unofficial, modified version of the game and something we can't assist with.

It isn't the latest update, but this save has everything up to 0.7.4 completed. If you can't find a save, its a decent starting point to get the ball rolling.

Unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with Linux. A comment below helped a Linux user install their game, maybe it might help? If not, I hope someone can drop by and give some proper help :)
Here's that comment:

Is chapter 32 the end for lyriel? I was just a bit concerned how lyriels story no longer shows in the quest book. I was expecting like more continuation or proceed the main story but no it just disappeared. I thought this was a bug so I am here asking, waiting for the reply thanks.

I understand, wanted to talk to you in private but Was lyriels ch 32 scene last choice have a big impact to her story? Or just a deviation at the start and will be same at some point of the story
I would recommend making a save at that point in the story when you have the talk with her.

If you're a backer on Patreon (or one of our other sites) you should have access to 8.06. However the current free version is 8.04.
You can download, extract and run. Saves will carry over automatically.
If on Android, download the .rpa and move it to the "game" folder like you would have when installing the game for the first time. Delete the old .rpa and launch the game. Saves also carry over.
If using our patch system, you can drop the patch.exe into the game folder, run it and follow the prompts. You can only use the highres patch with the highres game and the compressed with the compressed.

Hello, i have this error message after deinstalling the old Android version and installing the latest version. A new installation doesn't change this. Android Version 15. The launcher didn't ask to place the resource pack, but showed this error message:

This might be a corrupted download/installation. I'd recommend downloading and retrying. And maybe doing a fresh install of everything if it fails.
I'd make sure to back any saves in "ahitr_storage" before hand.
To update to a newer version, all you have to do is drop the .rpa in the "game" folder and delete the previous.

So there's 2 main save locations on PC. The game folder (AHITR\Game\Saves) and appdata (AppData\Roaming\RenPy\AHouseintheRift)
Make sure to delete saves in both of these locations and any Sync folder within these too, and it should delete any unwanted saves!
I really dont get the brewing station, I cant figure it out, someone have a guild or help plz
you have to find potion recepy in library . each potion is specific to a character with couple potions for each character. when youre brewing lookout for highlited words such as "heat,cool,stir,grind" you have to follow the recepy as it goes , sometimes it has a bit complicated ways of brewing but its just about reading troughly. heres couple of tips 1.recepy follows the words from left to right, for example if you have grind as your fist option and somesing like copper as the first material i bet youd have to grind copper for your recepy and etc. 2. read really throughly some actions are required to happen after, before or later in the recepy .3. if its too hard for you find a whole recepy ansver somewhere on a guide for aHITR.

What version of the game are you trying to load the save on? 8.0.4 dropped today, I'd recommend downloading that if you haven't already and try loading the save again.

You can! You'll find your saves in "ahitr_storage" and they'll look something like "1-1-LT1.save"
Transfer that save to your PC (Either by cloud storage or usb) and place the save in the AHITR saves folder (AHouseInTheRift\game\saves)

Saves carry over automatically, all you have to do is load up the new version and your saves should sync over.
You can make a manual backup if you'd like by going to where AHITR is > Game > Saves. (And then placing them in the new location).

Yea, but My Game folder only has the rpa and the only saves that i have look different from others and are way heavier(prob because i save a Lot), maybe i did something wrong while installing??
